PowerSchool Check / Pop Tabs / Lasercutter Challenge

Check PowerSchool for Missing/Incomplete Work

1. Go to the PowerSchool link on your Chrome toolbar and log in.

2. If you CAN’T SEE YOUR CLASSES AND GRADES IN THOSE CLASSES, click on Grades and Attendance.

3. Find my class. Click on the Q1 grade for my class. Give it a second to load and reload. You should see a list of your assignments and the grade you got for them.

4. See if you owe any Missing or Incomplete work! (I have a lot of students that owe a few assignments!)

Collecting Pop Tabs

I’m collecting pop tabs and will be turning them in to Ronald McDonald House Charities, and I would appreciate it if students could bring some to add to my total! 

Ronald McDonald House Charities collects aluminum pull tabs (pop tabs) from cans to recycle them for cash that supports family housing and programs.

How the Program Works

• Collection: People save metal tabs from soda, soup, or pet food cans in simple containers like coffee cans, jars, or bags.

• Recycling: Chapters take the collected tabs to a local recycling partner.

• Funding: Recyclers weigh the aluminum and pay the house per pound—usually raising around $0.30 to $0.50 per pound.

Fast Facts

• It takes roughly 1,100 to 1,270 tabs to make a single pound of aluminum.

• The money helps pay for family rooms, meals, and operating costs so families stay close to hospitalized children at no charge.
